Job summary

The Career Foundation is a dynamic non-profit organization delivering integrated employment services across the GTA. The Career Retention Specialist supports clients after placement to ensure long-term stability, maintaining ongoing relationships with employed clients and their employers.

Role requires documenting progress, coaching on workplace norms, and meeting retention targets. The position is full-time (37.5 h/wk) with a one-year contract, potential permanency, and a hybrid work model

Qualifications

• Post secondary degree or diploma in Career Services, Social Services, or another related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in employment services, career coaching, case management, or related duties.
• Excellent English communication, both verbal and written.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to meet targets in a results-driven environment.
• Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Retention monitoring with mandatory checkpoints (3, 6, 12 months) to support employment stability.
• Maintain ongoing rapport with employed clients and employers for program continuity.
• Provide coaching to clients on workplace expectations and problem-solving.
• Identify retention risks and implement timely interventions.
• Support employer relationships to ensure long-term client success.
• Document all activities in required systems and maintain confidentiality.
• Plan and deliver job retention workshops and related duties as assigned.
