Job summary

Options Consulting Solutions is seeking a Career Pathway Specialist for a 12-month contract in Toronto. You will lead the redesign of the career development resources for members, including a revamped job board, mentorship community, and enhanced toolkit resources.

You will build employer partnerships, create digital content with AI tools, and facilitate webinars while advising members on credentialing and career paths.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in career development, professional development, or program implementation.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Career Development, Human Resources, Business, Education, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience launching or enhancing career development resources (job boards, mentorship programs, toolkits or similar).
• Comfort presenting virtually and facilitating webinars to large audiences.
• Strong technology aptitude, including use of AI tools for content creation (video, voiceover, digital resources).
• Experience building relationships with employers, industry partners, or external stakeholders.
• Strong project management, benchmarking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint or similar collaboration platforms.
• Experience with association management systems (e.g., iMIS) is an asset.
• Bilingual English/French fluency is considered an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

The Job!

This role sits at the center of a major initiative to elevate the organization's career development resources for its members. You'll lead the benchmarking, planning, and hands‑on execution of a revamped job board, an elevated mentorship community, and enhanced career toolkits while also serving as a trusted advisor to members navigating their designation and career journey.

• Benchmark career development practices across related professions, associations, and educational institutions to identify best practices and opportunities for the organization's next‑phase strategy
• Lead the planning, development, and implementation of a revamped job board/employment platform, mentorship community, and career toolkit resources
• Build and strengthen employer partnerships to create a sustainable employment pipeline for members and students
• Create engaging digital content - videos, voiceovers, and online learning resources - using current technology and AI tools
• Facilitate webinars and virtual events, and be comfortable presenting on camera to a large member audience
• Serve as a primary point of contact for member and student inquiries related to credentialing and designation maintenance, providing informed, advisory‑level support
• Represent the organization at events, education sessions, and member engagement activities, both virtually and in person
• Prepare reports, presentations, and materials tracking program performance, participation, and outcomes

What You Bring to the Job

You're someone who can move fluidly between big‑picture strategy and hands‑on execution - comfortable researching what's working elsewhere, translating that into a concrete plan, and then rolling up your sleeves to build it. You bring strong project ownership instincts, genuine comfort with technology and content creation, and a natural ability to advise and support an external membership base.

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Career Development, Human Resources, Business, Education, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in career development, professional development, or program implementation, ideally within a professional association, membership organization, or not‑for‑profit
• Experience leading or contributing to the launch or enhancement of career development resources (job boards, mentorship programs, toolkits, or similar)
• Comfort presenting virtually and facilitating webinars, including speaking confidently on camera to a large audience
• Strong technology aptitude, including experience with AI tools for content creation (video, voiceover, digital resources)
• Experience building relationships with employers, industry partners, or external stakeholders
• Strong project management, benchmarking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint or similar collaboration platforms
