VHA Home HealthCare (VHA) in Ontario is seeking a Care Team Scheduling Coordinator to manage client offers, scheduling updates, and communication among clients, caregivers and funders. The role supports community-based home care with a client-centered approach.

The incumbent participates in in-person training, handles weekend/holiday shifts, and uses scheduling software to maintain accurate service plans, ensuring a positive client experience across GTA area.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary certificate/diploma in healthcare education preferred.
• Minimum of three years of related work experience in healthcare or scheduling.
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills for professional interaction.
• Strong organization and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of GTA/TTC routes or relevant contracted areas is a plus.
• Experience with scheduling software is an asset.
• Additional language skills are an asset.

Pay Range $25.30 - $29.91 (Placement on salary range as per Collective Agreement)

The Care Team Scheduling Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between the clients and caregivers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination in the delivery of care services. #LI-CF1

The incumbent must be available to attend a 3-week full-time in-person training starting on November 30, 2026, including weekdays and weekends, from 8:30am-4:30pm.

You must also possess the ability to work the shift option indicated above, including weekends and STAT holidays.

Shift options available:

• 6:30am-2:30pm - Monday-Sunday (guaranteed 21 hours)
• 1:30pm-9:30pm - Monday- Sunday (guaranteed 21 hours)

Key Areas of Accountability:

• Acceptance of new client offers.
• Scheduling, service changes and updates by using scheduling software.
• Maintenance of service plans.
• Regular communications with clients, caregivers, and funders.

Required Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary School Education: a certificate/diploma in healthcare education is preferred.
• Minimum of three years related work experience in a health care organization/agency (preferably in the community) or in an administrative position that required extensive scheduling
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills-the ability to interact professionally with callers.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multitask and change priorities and direction.
• Must be able to support client needs consistent with our client and family-centered approach and provide the client and family with a positive experience with each contact.
• Knowledge of the GTA and TTC routes or relevant contracted areas and surrounding Geographical Areas.
• Knowledge of scheduling software system would be an asset.
• Fluency in additional languages an asset.
• Satisfactory completion of the technical skills testing is required.
