Job summary

Park Place Home is seeking a Cook to prepare meals under the direction of the Food Services Manager and Dietitian for Residents. You will lead Food Service staff, promote food safety, and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include ordering and inventory control, assisting with special meals, and ensuring timely delivery of meals while controlling waste. You will participate in training and uphold Park Place's culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Safe food handling knowledge or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves daily meals and specials according to menus, diets and schedules.
• Estimates food requirements to minimize waste.
• Directs kitchen staff and maintains cleanliness and sanitary operations.
• Assists with food for special functions and events.
• Monitors safety of equipment and work areas; keeps them safe and orderly.
• Reports repairs and maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Receives deliveries and stores items properly.
• Completes Safe Food Handling Course as required by policy.
• Participates in related in-services and education programs.
• Performs other related duties as required.
