Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Detail-oriented, confidential, and professional.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Considerable lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, moving equipment and climbing ladders.
• Ability to work safely, following established safety practices & procedures.
• Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Using cleaning/disinfecting/sanitizing agents, follow procedures, routines and patterns.
• Collect/receive laundry and sort by type, condition and weight; treat soiled linens.
• Washes and dries laundry following machine instructions; fold and deliver.
• Observe machines and report malfunctions; maintain facilities, equipment and supplies.
• Ensure resident privacy during duties.
• Adhere to company policies on quality, safety and fire procedures.
• Perform outdoor tasks like snow removal, sanding and salting as required.
• Cooperate with other departments for transfers and storage of supplies.
