Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a Housekeeping Aide at Hallowell House in Picton, ON. This part-time role supports residents by cleaning and sanitizing living spaces to maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities include general cleaning, stocking supplies, laundry, and waste removal. The position requires basic literacy in English and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Training and accommodation support are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Detail-oriented, confidential, and professional.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and reach, bend, lift and pull.
• Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Clean – perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout the property, including bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and floors.
• Stock – wash and stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms; fold laundry and put away as needed.
• Other – empty trash, operate laundry equipment, and notify maintenance if something isn’t working.
