Interior Health Authority is seeking an experienced Care Aide to join our Long-term Care team at Hardy View Lodge in Grand Forks, BC. You will work under RNs and LPNs to support residents with daily living activities, mobility, and overall well-being in a dynamic setting.

The Casual position offers flexible hours across days, evenings, and nights, with shifts rotating to cover patient needs. Join a dedicated team focused on compassionate, patient-centered care in a scenic Canadian community.

About The Job

As the Care Aide you will work as an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, who provide care and support in a long-term care setting. Working under the direction of RN's and LPN's, Care Aide's have key responsibilities in the individual care plan for each patient, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are supported, while promoting maximum independence.

Typical Duties Include

• Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
• Assisting with mobility, transfers and related equipment
• Performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration
• Housekeeping activities relating to maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Observing and reporting changes in patient behavior and condition
• Accompanying clients on outings and during social activities
• Performing clerical duties and delegated tasks

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days, evenings, and nights rotating from 06:30 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:30, 23:30 to 06:30 hours.

Hardy View Lodge, located in Grand Forks at Boundary Hospital, embodies a patient-centered philosophy designed to support patients' choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. This facility is an 80-bed facility with five cottage style units. 60 beds are all individual with showers in the bathroom area. The 20-bed unit has two semiprivate rooms, and the remaining 16 rooms are private.
