Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Fort Vermilion is seeking a Care Aide Learner to support daily living activities for patients under supervision. You will contribute to patient care plans and collaborate with the healthcare team in a Long Term Care setting.

The position is a Regular Part Time role (0.63 FTE) with weekend and day shifts, starting 03-NOV-2026 and posting through 23-OCT-2026. A mandatory criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• Enrolment in an approved Alberta Health Care Aide certificate program within three months of hire.
• The successful candidate must have a plan to complete an HCA Certificate Program within 18 months of hire or be in the process of completing the competency tests for eligibility of registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta.
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
