Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health, MVESC Cardiology, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join the Cardiology team. You will perform nursing care, assist with cardiology examinations, ECGs, echocardiography, and anesthesia, while supporting a high-acuity emergency and specialty environment.

You should have RVT credentials, VTNE completion, and active licensure eligibility. Relocation assistance, CE allowances, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technology program.
• Successful VTNE completion.
• Registered Veterinary Technician licensed or eligible for EVTA/NSVMA licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care during examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and hospital stay.
• Assist cardiologists with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist with ECG acquisition, monitoring, and tracings for review.
• Support echocardiography preparation, positioning, and equipment handling.
• Assist with thoracic radiography and other diagnostic imaging.
• Monitor cardiovascular status and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Assist with sedation/anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery.
• Maintain medical records of assessments, treatments, and communications.
