A regional health authority in Canada seeks a Cardiac Rhythm Device Technologist to ensure effective functioning of implanted arrhythmia management devices. Responsibilities include assisting with device implantation, conducting analyses, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide patient care. Ideal candidates will have a Cardiology Technologist background, experience in device technology, and excellent communication skills.

Reporting to the Manager or designate, and as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Cardiac Rhythm Device Technologist practices in accordance with the established standards of professional practice to facilitate optimal clinical effectiveness of implanted arrhythmia management devices through the application of technical knowledge and skills to evaluate and manage device function. May aid with device analysis for cardiac implantable electronic device patients in the inpatient (OR/EPL) as required during device implantation, including assisting the physician during implant procedures and programming individual devices at correct values during implant and in the outpatient setting (Device Clinic). Provides interpretations, analyses and test/summary reports as required.
Holds a valid BC driver s license, as local area travel may require the use of a personal vehicle where mileage reimbursement is applicable.
Completion of a recognized Cardiology Technologist program including completed coursework in cardiac rhythm device technology and two (2) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT). Eligible for International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification as a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCD) within two years of hire.
