Jim Pattison Hyundai Surrey is seeking a reliable Detailer to join our team. You will clean, polish, and present vehicles to a high standard for both customers and inventory. This is a full-time, permanent role at 40 hours per week.

Pay ranges from CAD 19.00 to 22.00 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for advancement. Reports to the Service Manager. We value pride in workmanship, strong attention to detail, and a professional, friendly approach in a collaborative dealership

Responsibilities

• Perform complete interior and exterior detailing of customer and inventory vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, shampooing, polishing, waxing, and finishing work.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all vehicles on-site.
• Safely move, position, and relocate vehicles within the dealership or detailing area as needed.
• Inspect vehicles before and after detailing to confirm quality standards are met.
• Identify and report any vehicle damage, mechanical issues, or property concerns.
• Use detailing tools and cleaning chemicals safely, following safety guidelines.

Jim Pattison Hyundai Surrey is seeking a reliable, hardworking Detailer to join our team. In this role, you'll help keep our dealership and inventory looking their best by ensuring vehicles are cleaned, polished, and presented to a high standard.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a sharp eye for detail, and understands the importance of quality and consistency.

Schedule: This is a full-time, permanent position of 40 hours per week.

Pay Range: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience

Reports to: Service Manager

A Day in the Life

• Perform complete interior and exterior detailing of customer and inventory vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, shampooing, polishing, waxing, and finishing work
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of all vehicles on-site
• Safely move, position, and relocate vehicles within the dealership or detailing area as needed
• Inspect vehicles before and after detailing to confirm quality standards are met
• Identify and promptly report any vehicle damage, mechanical issues, or property concerns
• Use detailing tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, in line with safety guidelines
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information at all times
• Help foster a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• A valid BC Driver's licence and a satisfactory Driver's Abstract are required
• Previous automotive industry experience is a strong asset
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Customer service oriented, with a friendly, professional, and approachable manner
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable work ethic
• This is a physically active role that requires:
  • Frequent walking throughout the dealership, lot, and detailing areas
  • Extended periods of standing, bending, crouching, and reaching
  • Regular handling of cleaning products, tools, and detailing equipment
  • Operating vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions
  • Significant time spent indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including sun, rain, wind, snow, cold, and heat (conditions are monitored for safety as needed)
