As an Avro RJ Captain with Summit Air, you are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, with a passion for customer service and prioritizing safety for our clients.

Summit Air, headquartered in Yellowknife, NWT, operates across Canada, specializing in passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions for industry-leading clients, with a legacy of excellence in northern and remote aviation. We are growing our fleet in the Quebec area and are seeking experienced RJ Captains.

  • Operate Avro RJ aircraft safely and efficiently throughout Northern Canada as PIC, in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Stay current with all available flight information, including weather and applicable NOTAMs, verifying type A flight plans for accuracy.
  • Participate in the aircraft pre-flight inspection, as well as all post-flight duties.

Qualifications

  • Current Canadian ATPL
  • 4000 hours Total Time
  • 2500 MPIC (greater than 5700 kg)
  • 500 hours on a Jet aircraft (asset)
  • High Arctic experience (asset)
  • Glass cockpit experience (asset)
  • Current Passport with the ability to travel to the United States and Europe
  • Ability to obtain Canadian Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Strong commitment to safety culture
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
