As an Avro RJ Captain with Summit Air, you are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, with a passion for customer service and prioritizing safety for our clients.

Summit Air, headquartered in Yellowknife, NWT, operates across Canada, specializing in passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions for industry-leading clients, with a legacy of excellence in northern and remote aviation. We’re expanding our fleet in Quebec and are seeking experienced RJ Captains.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Operate Avro RJ aircraft safely and efficiently throughout Northern Canada as PIC, in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  2. Stay current with all available flight information, including weather and applicable NOTAMs, verifying type A flight plans for accuracy.
  3. Participate in pre-flight inspections and all post-flight duties.
Qualifications
  1. Current Canadian ATPL.
  2. 4000 hours Total Time.
  3. 2500 MPIC hours (greater than 5700 kg).
  4. 500 hours on a Jet aircraft (asset).
  5. High Arctic experience (asset).
  6. Glass cockpit experience (asset).
  7. Current Passport with ability to travel to the U.S. and Europe.
  8. Ability to obtain Canadian Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
  9. Strong commitment to safety culture.
  10. Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
  11. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
