Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Toronto is seeking an experienced Audit professional to conduct Capital Markets engagements, assess control environments, and deliver insightful reports to senior management and the Board. This role emphasizes independent assurance and advisory support, aligning with governance objectives.

The incumbent will contribute to audit planning, apply data analytics, and maintain independence while partnering with business groups.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• CIA and/or CPA-Audit designation required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
• Negotiate to achieve business objectives and inform decision-making.
• Develop annual audit plan and contribute to enterprise-level audits.
• Conduct audits in line with Corporate Audit Methodology and QA.
• Identify control deficiencies and provide balanced assessments.
• Utilize data analytics to improve audit quality and efficiency.
• Maintain independence and strong stakeholder relations.
