Are you a detail-driven accountant who enjoys turning complex data into actionable insight? Our client is looking for aCapital Asset Accountantto join their team in a newly created role that plays a key part in managing and analyzing capital investments—primarily inIT/software development and Facilities projects.

This project is remote, but candidates must be Alberta based.

Responsibilities:

• Track and account for capital and operating projects
• Guide business units on capital policies and procedures
• Prepare capital asset continuity and deferred capital revenue schedules
• Handle month-end capital expenditure entries
• Support capital budgeting and forecasting across departments
• Provide insightful ad hoc analysis and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

• A university degree and professional accounting designation (CPA)
• Knowledge of capital project accounting; PSAS experience is a bonus
• Advanced data skills — you’re confident building reports, charts, and visual dashboards
• Excellent communication skills — you can translate accounting-speak into plain language for business units
• Based in Alberta and comfortable working remotely
