The Global Technology division manages the critical systems and platforms that form the backbone of the company's retail, commercial and institutional businesses, as well as key support functions around the world. We develop and deploy leading-edge technology in areas such as mobile and online banking, payments processing, technology infrastructure, cyber-security, risk and capital management and enterprise data management. Our mainframe environment is the third largest in the world.

Our Program

The Summer program is a 10-week program designed to provide Summer Analysts with a unique opportunity to gain an exposure to life at Bank of America and also make significant contributions to the team. The Summer program begins with an in person week long orientation and induction to the firm with networking opportunities. To prepare you for your Summer internship, you will attend an in-person, week-long orientation where you will receive Bank/Line of Business information and network with peers and Enterprise leaders across Summer Campus programs. Summer Analysts are given a true associate experience, as assignments mirror full-time responsibility and include goal-setting and a formal review process.

Although the role you take on may vary, every intern will have the opportunity for robust learning through trainings, professional development, networking events, volunteer activities, speaker series, and more! During your 10-weeks with Bank of America, you’ll strengthen your key skills and competencies to help jump start your career and make a real impact on our business from day one.

Education:

Considered candidates are required to be pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Eligible candidates must have a graduation timeframe between November 2027 and August 2028.

• Major/Course of Study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or similar degree of relevance

Candidates for our Global Technology programs should possess:

• Fundamental knowledge and understanding of programming languages, data visualization tools, application frameworks, distributed systems and databases
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, including various work assignments and changing priorities

• Distinguished written and oral communications skills

Additionally, students should hold strong academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office as well as show proficiencies in leadership, teamwork, problem solving, analytical skills, verbal and written communication, and professionalism

Business Analyst:

Business Analysts are responsible for capturing and refining business requirements by working with stakeholders to understand their needs. You will come up with creative and technical problem-solving solutions and work cross-functionally with the Development Team to execute your ideas and document your processes and workflows. For all roles, specific teams are assigned mid-spring. Doing so offers the ability to assign program participants to real-time, business critical needs.

Key tasks and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Working with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements
• Gather and catalog functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests
• Working closely with the development team(s) to refine the requirements into specifications that can be executed by the team
• Document processes, procedures, and workflows
• Create and maintain training materials for end-users
• Individuals in this role possess a foundational understanding of the business/technical domain based on their specialization

Recommended Skillsets:

• Foundational knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, process improvement, and project management or technology consulting
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Octane, or similar technology delivery and collaboration tools
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics and visualization tools
• Understanding of digital products and technology delivery, with strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders
