Job summary

MNP is seeking a Manager to lead tax engagements in Canada. The role focuses on delivering customized tax strategies within a dynamic regulatory framework while guiding engagement teams and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

You will liaise with tax authorities, craft proactive tax plans, and mentor staff as part of a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture. The position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Completion of Level 1 of In-depth Tax Program and related specialist courses.
• 4 to 5 years of relevant public accounting or tax consulting experience.
• Extensive working knowledge of Canadian tax.
• Strong understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles.
• Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple client-facing engagement teams for tax engagements.
• Deliver taxation and assurance expertise through client interactions, reports and high-quality deliverables.
• Evaluate business processes and advise on tax policy changes and proactive strategies.
• Liaise with Canada Revenue Agency and provincial ministries on client issues.
• Prepare election forms for corporate reorganizations.
• Assist in managing personal and trust tax compliance seasons.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, build relationships and grow accounts.
• Oversee engagement planning, scheduling and project financials.
