Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Canada External Payroll Administrator to support daily payroll tasks and ensure accuracy against deadlines. You will handle garnishments, maintain ADP WFN files, and manage timekeeping processing with a focus on confidentiality and strong customer service.

The role requires a degree in business or accounting and strong Excel plus accounting system skills. This is a full-time position in Canada with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Canada External Payroll Administrator assisting the payroll team with daily tasks.
  • Ensure payroll processing is correct and meets scheduled deadlines.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of garnishments and other withholdings.
  • Maintain and update employee files in the payroll platform (ADP WFN).
  • Process hours through a timekeeping/timesheet system.
  • Manage Payroll Ticketing System and reconcile pay discrepancies and inquiries.
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll balancing and reconciliation.
  • Assist with T4 preparation and year-end processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Role
  • Serve as the Canada External Payroll Administrator in assisting the payroll team with daily tasks.
  • Ensure correctness and completeness of payroll processing is aligned with payroll scheduled deadlines.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of garnishments and other payroll withholding deductions.
  • Maintain and update employee files as required within the payroll platform (ADP WFN).
  • Process hours through a timekeeping/timesheet system.
  • Manage the Payroll Ticketing System by addressing and reconciling pay discrepancies and inquiries from employees, contractors, and clients.
  • Manage and assist with quarterly and year-end payroll balancing and reconciliation.
  • Assist with T4 preparation and year-end processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
  • You have a degree in Business Management or Accounting.
  • You are proficient in Windows-based applications and accounting information systems.
  • You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • You have strong accounting knowledge and can apply it to unusual and complex circumstances.
  • You can effectively manage multiple and competing priorities, seek input, and communicate issues to stakeholders.

The salary range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $45,000 - $55,000.
