Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems – Canada is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead national HR programs across a multi-site operation in Oakville, ON. You will mentor three Regional HR Managers and partner with field operations to ensure consistent and compliant HR service delivery.

You will oversee complex employee relations, investigations, compensation, benefits, and workforce planning while guiding HR integration for acquisitions and maintaining risk-aware operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRM/IR/Business Administration or related field.
• 8+ years HR experience with multi-site/national scope in Canada.
• 3+ years in a people-leadership role managing HR Managers/Business Partners.
• Deep knowledge of Canadian employment standards and human rights across provinces (Ontario included).
• Experience leading HR integration for mergers & acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of HR Managers across Canada to ensure operational consistency.
• Advise senior leaders on complex employee relations, investigations, and compliance.
• Direct HR integration workstreams for newly acquired businesses in Canada; harmonize HR policies and onboarding.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, and workforce planning; manage annual salary reviews and benchmarking.
• Improve HR service delivery and analytics to support field operations.
