Job description

Position Summary: The Staff Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations. Provides patient care tailored to each patient based on feedback received during consultation or file review.

What You'll Do:

1. Ensure an excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor.
2. Establish and develop strong working relationships with the Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders.
3. Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals.
4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely, and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products.
5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
6. Follow Walmart's SOPs and best practices.
7. Operate all pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems, etc.) and maintain patient privacy in accordance with provincial regulations.
8. Ensure patients receive all entitled services (medication reviews, injections, etc.) and that the pharmacy is open during posted hours.
9. Assist in executing the business plan to meet corporate goals in partnership with the Pharmacy Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Age 16 or older
• Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
