Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Media Planning & Strategy is responsible for developing strategic omnichannel retail media plans that support seasonal campaigns, category marketing initiatives, and instore experiential activations. This role partners closely with internal sales teams, advertisers, category marketing leads, merchandising, eComm and experiential partners to align media investments with brand partner objectives and consumer shopping behaviours.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in omnichannel, insights and data-driven media planning, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to provide strategic client recommendations to achieve campaign KPIs and accelerate growth. They are highly analytical, organized, and skilled in project management with clear verbal and written communication.

What you'll do...
  1. Develop comprehensive, insight-driven retail media omnichannel strategies that align with seasonal, category and events-based priorities.
  2. Analyze first-party data, audience insights and media performance metrics to inform strategic recommendations and optimize media planning. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure media strategies are built for advertiser success.
  3. Provide data-backed guidance on omnichannel media solutions, integrating digital, in-store and experiential strategies to enhance advertiser impact. Identify opportunities to innovate and enhance retail media offerings, ensuring alignment with evolving shopper behaviours and industry trends.
  4. Oversee multiple concurrent media planning projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and strategic objectives.
  5. Coordinate across sales, category marketing leads, experiential partners and media operations to ensure seamless campaign planning to execution. Manage project workflows ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  6. Partner with sales, category marketing leads and other cross-functional teams to ensure media plans align with retail business objectives.
  7. Work closely with account managers, ad operations, insights and yield to evaluate media performance, optimize investments and measure impact. Collaborate with insights team to provide actionable recommendations that drive continuous improvement in retail media planning.
  8. Attend industry events and stay abreast of industry trends, emerging planning solutions, and competitive benchmarks to enhance the retail media offering.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience (digital and/or omni-channel media planning/activation/project management)
  • University degree
