Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada is seeking a Self-Checkout Attendant in Niagara Falls to assist customers with transactions at self-serve kiosks and to provide exceptional service aligned with Wal-Mart’s values.

You will educate customers on self-checkout usage, monitor area for issues, intervene when needed, and respond to alarms or cash shortages while upholding company standards. Must be 18+ and complete required training.

• Keep the self-checkout area clean and free of debris, fixtures, liquids, and foreign objects.
• Educate customers on correct, efficient use of self-service options.

• Monitor customer activity to determine when assistance is needed.
• Explain interventions and quality checks in a reassuring manner.
• Respond to EAS alarms and complete the 'Failure to Deactivate' log.
• Call the Customer Service Manager if cash in self-checkout area is low or there is a technical issue.
• Return Scan & Go scanners to their home after use.

Position Summary...A Self-Checkout Attendant assists customers in the processing of transactions through the self-service area(s) and provides exceptional customer service in order to ensure a positive shopping experience and drive customer loyalty, while maintaining exemplary customer service by adhering to the Basic Beliefs and values of Wal-Mart.
