Position Summary

A Self-Checkout Attendant provides exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience and assists customers processing transactions through the self-service area(s). What You'll Do
  1. Keeps the area neat, clean, and organized, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
  2. Educates customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service options, when applicable.
  3. Promotes company sponsor programs, e.g., credit card service, product protection, and charity initiatives, when applicable.
  4. Observes customer activities to determine when and if assistance is needed.
  5. When interventions and quality checks are required, politely explains the reasons and reassures customers that such checks are normal protocol.
  6. Demonstrates knowledge about responding to EAS alarms and filling out the "Failure to Deactivate" Log.
  7. Calls the Customer Service Manager when the self-service area is low on cash or has a technical issue.
  8. Returns Scan & Go scanners to their designated area after use.
Minimum Qualifications

Age - 16 or older.
