Position Summary... Working as a Self-Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. A Self-Checkout Attendant provides exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience and assists customers with processing transactions through the self-service area(s). What you'll do...

1. Keep the area neat, clean, and organized, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
2. Educate customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service options, when applicable.
3. Promote company-sponsored programs, such as credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives, when applicable.
4. Observe customer activities to determine when and if assistance is needed.
5. When self-service interventions and quality checks are required, politely explain the reasons for the intervention or quality checks while reassuring customers that such checks are normal protocol.
6. Demonstrate knowledge about responding to EAS alarms and filling out the "Failure to Deactivate" Log.
7. Call the Customer Service Manager when the self-service area is low on cash or has a technical issue.
8. Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated storage after use.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.55. The rate will be determined based on relevant experience.
