Position Summary

Working as a Self-Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. What you'll do

1. Keep the area neat, clean, and organized, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
2. Educate customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service options, when applicable.
3. Promote company sponsor programs, such as credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives, when applicable.
4. Observe customer activities to determine when and if assistance is needed.
5. When interventions and quality checks are required, politely explain the reasons and reassure customers that these are normal procedures.
6. Respond to EAS alarms and complete the 'Failure to Deactivate' Log as needed.
7. Call the Customer Service Manager when the self-service area is low on cash or encounters a technical issue.
8. Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated storage after use.

The minimum pay rate for this position starts at $17.55 per hour. The final rate will be determined based on relevant experience.
