Position Summary

The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations.

What You'll Do
  1. Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor.
  2. Establish and develop strong working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
  3. Accept prescriptions and refill requests from Customers, Doctors, or Hospitals.
  4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely, and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products.
  5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
  6. Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs.
  7. Operate pharmacy equipment (register, computer system, etc.).
  8. Protect patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations.
  9. Ensure patients receive eligible services (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet their needs.
  10. Follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program.
  11. Travel to various locations according to the schedule set by the Relief program coordinator.
  12. Develop collaborative relationships with other healthcare providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, community).
Minimum Qualifications

Age: 16 or older.
License: Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization).
