Job summary

Walmart Canada in Clarenville, NL is seeking a Relief Pharmacist to assist the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations.

You will accept prescriptions and refill requests, counsel patients, protect privacy, operate the pharmacy equipment, and travel to multiple locations under the Relief program; ensure accurate, safe dispensing and excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Pharmacist License to practice.
• Optional Alberta CA_APA permit noted as additional prescribing authority.
• Ability to operate pharmacy equipment and computer systems.

Job description

Position Summary

The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and the Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure excellent patient experience, locate merchandise on the sales floor.
• Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
• Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals.
• Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products.
• Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
• Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs.
• Ability to operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system etc.). Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body. Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to (medication reviews, injections etc.) to meet specific patient needs.
• Must follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program. Must travel to various locations and follow the schedules set by the Relief program coordinator.
• Develop and establish a collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, their community etc.)

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $64.50/hr. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
