Job summary

Walmart Canada in Truro, NS is seeking a Relief Pharmacist to assist the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of pharmacy operations, including prescription intake, medication counseling, and ensuring safe, accurate dispensing.

You will travel to various locations, build relationships with healthcare providers, and help deliver patient services such as medication reviews and injections. Compensation ranges from CAD 48.00 to 64.50 per hour, with pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license required; eligible to practice in Canada.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations as part of the Relief Pharmacist program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of pharmacy operations.
• Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals; counsel patients on medications.
• Ensure accurate, safe dispensing and proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
• Protect patient privacy and comply with provincial regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Travel to various Walmart Canada locations as scheduled by the Relief program coordinator.

Position Summary...The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and the Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations.What you'll do...Ensure excellent patient experience, locate merchandise on the sales floor.Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals.Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products.Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs.Ability to operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system etc.). Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body. Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to (medication reviews, injections etc.) to meet specific patient needs. Must follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program. Must travel to various locations and follow the schedules set by the Relief program coordinator. Develop and establish a collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, their community etc.)The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $64.50/hr.
