Position Summary: The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in prescription filling and administrative duties to support patient care and team operations. They are vital in delivering excellent customer service.

What you'll do:

1. Receive prescriptions, ensuring completeness and compliance with legal/regulatory standards, including patient details, allergies, prescriber info, and medication specifics.
2. Perform computer functions such as data entry, price checks, and updating patient information, interpreting prescriptions accurately, and generating reports.
3. Assist in filling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, selecting correct products, conducting accuracy checks, labeling, and organizing for pharmacist verification.
4. Maintain inventory by managing stock levels, checking for expired medications, processing returns, and ordering supplies through preferred vendors.
5. Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and safe, including stocking supplies and maintaining equipment.
6. Handle administrative tasks such as filing prescriptions and reports, and supporting clerical functions.
7. Support OTC operations, including ordering, stocking, and cashier duties as assigned.
