Job description

Position Summary...

To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines and lead Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales.

What you'll do...

1. As a member of the Store Management Team, drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. Communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation of results.
2. Create operational plans with the Management Team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and store standards within Company policies. Implement new store programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
3. Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; oversee safety and operational reviews, ensuring compliance with Walmart policies and procedures, including safety, security, sales, financial, and record-keeping practices.
4. Serve Customers as an ambassador by greeting customers, seeking feedback, and resolving issues within Company guidelines to create a positive shopping experience. Model and enforce friendly and helpful customer service approaches.
5. Support store initiatives to serve the community by participating in community events and developing relationships with key groups. Participate in company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts.
6. Lead Associates by conducting regular store meetings, communicating operational directions, and driving engagement. Recognize accomplishments and provide professional growth opportunities. Develop high-potential associates through training and development.
7. Demonstrate Company values by holding Associates accountable through performance feedback and corrective actions. Build relationships with supporting functions within the store and district.
8. Ensure compliance with all standards and procedures when handling merchandise, including sensitive items, and managing cash controls, handling up to two hundred and fifty thousand dollars per day.
