Job description

Position Summary: To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines, leading Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales.

What you'll do:

1. Drive sales and manage financial performance: Achieve sales and profit goals, manage budgets, analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to respond to market changes, and communicate results to associates.
2. Operational planning and store standards: Collaborate with the Management Team to create operational plans, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and maintain store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, pricing, and adherence to company policies. Implement new programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
3. Asset protection and safety: Monitor and enforce asset protection measures, safety controls, quality assurance standards, and compliance with company policies, including safety and security procedures.
4. Customer service: Serve as a store ambassador by greeting customers, seeking feedback, resolving issues, and modeling friendly, helpful service techniques.
5. Community engagement: Support community initiatives, participate in events, and develop relationships with community groups to enhance the store's role in the community.
6. Leadership and team development: Conduct store meetings, communicate operational initiatives, drive employee engagement, recognize achievements, and support professional growth through training and development.
7. Performance management: Hold associates accountable with respectful feedback, manage relationships with supporting functions, and ensure adherence to company standards.
8. Compliance and merchandise handling: Ensure compliance with handling merchandise like alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, high-ticket items, and maintain cash controls, managing up to $250,000 daily.
