Job summary

Walmart Canada Corp in Peace River, AB is hiring a customer service associate to greet customers, process transactions, and support self-checkout. You will promote credit card services, protection plans, and charity initiatives while ensuring a positive shopping experience.

This role emphasizes accurate cash handling, safe lifting, and helping customers with bagging and loading merchandise. The position is at our Peace River store and starts at a minimum wage of CAD 16.65 per hour.

• Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, ie. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refs ers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
