Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Food and Consumables Associate in Calgary to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining the food and consumables area, stocking shelves and assisting customers with purchases.

You will zone the department, rotate stock, ensure pricing accuracy, adhere to cold chain standards, and support inventory tasks, including ordering and labeling activities. This role starts at a base hourly rate and requires strong attention to food safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
