Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Food and Consumables Associate at our Grand Prairie, AB location. The role focuses on customer service, maintaining and zoning the food and consumables area, stocking, and assisting with sale of goods in a fast-paced retail environment.

The associate will ensure shelves are well-organized, stock is rotated, products are signed and priced correctly, and adherence to cold chain and food safety standards is maintained.

• Age – 16 or older.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
