Job summary

Walmart Canada in Truro, NS is hiring a Food and Consumables Associate to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining the department and assisting with stocking and merchandising.

You will zone the department, rotate stock, ensure correct pricing, and follow food safety policies including temperature checks and date coding. The position starts at $16.90 per hour and is on-site at 140 Wade Rd, Truro.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
