Job summary

Walmart Canada in Calgary is seeking a team-oriented associate to lead Fashion area operations and support department processes. You will greet customers, promote products, and assist on the sales floor while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

You will help coordinate tasks, lead briefings, supervise schedules, and contribute to merchandising displays. Training and safety are integral, with support for recruiting and development.

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assess department presentation and merchandising, noting deficiencies and updating displays as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with associates, lead daily huddles, share updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Review schedules with People Lead and adjust coverage.
• Assign associates to support coverage and availability tasks store-wide.
• Identify training opportunities during tours and provide coaching and feedback to associates.
• Support a safe, clean work environment by following policy and completing safety checks.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and assist management.
• Support recruitment and growth conversations with leadership.

Job description

Position Summary…

Assists in the leadership of the Fashion areas and department processes, responds to problems and inquiries and develops associates through teaching and training. Ensures a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.
Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.

What you’ll do…

1. Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
2. Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Coach and the Store Management Team. Delegate, assist and follow-up on completion of daily Customer Availability process tasks.
3. Assesses the overall presentation of Fashion Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
4. Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift, and provides the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
5. Review completed schedules with People Lead.
6. Assign Associates to support coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
7. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
8. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
9. Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.
10. Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring of new associates.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.75.
