Job summary

Walmart Canada in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli areas and assisting with stocking and sales. The role requires zone maintenance, stock rotation, accurate signing/pricing, and adherence to cold chain and food safety standards.

The minimum hourly rate starts at CAD 16.85, with opportunities to support a fast-paced team and grow within the store.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

What You’ll Do...
