Job summary

Walmart Canada in Red Deer, AB is seeking a dependable Deli Bakery Associate to deliver excellent customer service, maintain deli and bakery areas, and assist with stocking and sales. You will zone areas, rotate stock, ensure accurate signage and pricing, and follow cold chain and food-safety procedures.

The role includes preparing hot and bakery items, taking orders, and helping with display preparation while adhering to company standards. Minimum age is 16.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
