Walmart Canada in Milton is hiring a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver friendly customer service and maintain the Bakery and Deli area, ensuring shelves, displays and product are neat and stocked.

You will rotate stock, check expiration dates, verify pricing, follow food-safety and cold-chain procedures, prepare deli and bakery items, take orders, and assist with ordering and merchandising to support store objectives. Starting wage is CAD 18.40 per hour.

• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels

Position Summary

A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.40.
