Job summary

Walmart Canada in Granby, QC is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide excellent customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli areas. You will zone departments, rotate stock, ensure accurate signage and pricing, and handle deli and bakery food preparation and display according to safety standards.

The position involves assisting with orders, rotating stock, and ensuring cold chain compliance and correct labeling.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils and rotisserie chicken; fills prepared side dishes for display.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by thawing and baking to ensure quality and visual appeal.

Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.8.
