Job summary

Walmart Canada in Val-d'Or, QC is seeking a Cosmetics Associate to deliver outstanding customer service while moving merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor. You will be a trusted partner in loss prevention, helping to protect store assets with attention to detail and strong product awareness.

You will greet customers, assist with product selection, maintain displays, stock shelves, and support returns, prioritizing customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent customer experience by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping customers locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving concerns or referring them to management when appropriate.
• Sales floor presentation and merchandising: maintain strong sales floor standards by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or expired items, setting up and maintaining displays, and ensuring accurate signing and pricing.
• Stocking, modular, and inventory execution: receive and stock merchandise, complete picks and downstocking as required, apply product protection when necessary, and set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Claims, returns, and asset protection support: ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secure merchandise, identify high-shrink items, and support loss prevention efforts in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Customer service and team support: refer appropriate service and transactional requests to the Customer Service Manager as needed and support Front End and store operations when required.
• Cosmetics expertise and customer awareness: provide customers with awareness that a dedicated Cosmetics Associate is available to offer guidance, product knowledge, and support within the department.

Physical Demands

• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
