Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Pointe-Claire, QC to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, merchandising, and preparing deli and bakery products to standard quality and presentation.

The role requires adherence to food safety, cold chain protocols, and accurate signage and pricing. Minimum age 16+ with ability to work in a fast-paced environment. On-site position with Walmart Canada benefits.

Responsibilities

• Zone the department to ensure shelves, tables and displays are organized and merchandised correctly.
• Rotate stock and check for expired products.
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Follow standards for cold chain, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, sell-by dates and expirations.
• Take orders for Deli Department items and prepare hot foods and side dishes as requested.
• Prepare deli foods using utensils and rotisserie chicken, fill display areas with sides.
• Prepare bakery items by following thawing and baking guidelines for quality and presentation.
• Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and labeling.

Position Summary...A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.What you'll do...1. Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location2. Rotates stock and checks for expired products.3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.5. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.6. Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.8.
