Job summary

Walmart Canada in Duncan, BC is seeking a Store Associate to assist in leadership of Asset Protection and office areas, respond to inquiries, and develop associates through teaching and training. You will help ensure customer service excellence while supporting task completion on the sales floor and back-office functions.

The role involves coordinating tasks, scheduling support, leading team huddles, and training opportunities with the Coach/People Lead.

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, locating merchandise and facilitating purchases.
• Coordinate task completion with Asset Protection Operations Coach and Store Leadership Team; delegate and follow up on receiving, claims and office support.
• Assist with scheduling as needed and communicate updates to the team.
• Lead daily huddle, share updates, set goals and track productivity with associates.
• Assign associates to coverage tasks and monitor availability.
• Identify training opportunities during store tours and develop associates through teaching and feedback.

Position Summary...Assists in the leadership of the Asset Protection and office areas and processes, responds to problems and inquiries and develops associates through teaching and training . Ensures a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.What you'll do...1. Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.2. Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Asset Protection Operations Coach and the Store Leadership Team. Delegate, assist and follow-up on completion of tasks in receiving, claims and office support.3. Support with scheduling as needed.4. Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.5. Review completed schedules with People Lead.6. Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.7. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates, validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provide feedback as needed.8. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.9. Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.10. Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates.
