Job summary

Nova Scotia Community College is seeking a Campus Library Technician to support Library & Learning Commons services on the Lunenburg Campus. You will assist students and staff, manage materials, and help with digital resources and technology.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Library and Information Technology.
• At least one year of full-time library experience; academic libraries a plus.
• Demonstrated integrity, citation and referencing.
• Experience with library systems (Novanet/Alma), discovery tools (Primo) and LibApps.
• Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
• Comfort with digital environments and willingness to learn new tech.
• Experience with Brightspace and Pressbooks is an asset.
• Copyright/OER knowledge is an asset.
• Experience with assistive technologies and helping students.
• Experience supporting current and prospective students.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and online library support to users.
• Process library materials and handle interlibrary loan and reservations.
• Support Accessible Format Texts and equipment/technology.
• Assist with collection maintenance and data accuracy.
• Collaborate on college-wide library initiatives and events.
• Support campus events, orientations, and convocation.
