Job summary

Redeemer University is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to direct full-time and part-time staff in cleaning, maintenance, and preparing university buildings and residences during the academic year and conference season. The role includes supervising two shifts and managing payroll for five full‑time staff plus 18–25 student workers, with evening/weekend duties as needed.

The position reports to the Director, Campus Services, and starts December 2026.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cleaning, housekeeping, and/or custodial work.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience with ability to motivate staff and maintain high standards.
• 3+ years of experience using commercial cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, supervises, trains, and participates in custodial operations across university facilities.
• Oversees weekday operations across two shifts (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.).
• Supervises and approves payroll and timesheets for five full‑time staff, including four Custodial Staff and one Housekeeping Supervisor, and 18–25 casual student staff.
• Coordinates staffing for Saturday and occasional Sunday cleaning and event set‑ups, provides work instructions, and responds to calls.
