Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Retail Outfitter in Barrie, Ontario to join a team focused on delivering legendary customer service and deep product knowledge. Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, you will help create a world-class shopping experience for every guest and contribute to store goals.

You will assist customers in identifying needs, recommend products, maintain store presentation, and stay informed about outdoor lifestyle trends.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logic.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset.

• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle

Starting Pay Rate: $17.60 - $20.25
