Job summary

The City of Mississauga is seeking a Camp Counsellor for Bradley Museum. You will supervise campers at all times and ensure a safe, engaging experience in line with department safety standards and emergency procedures.

This part-time role may require knowledge of history or museum contexts; prior work with children and in historic settings is preferred. A First Aid/CPR B certificate is an asset, and relevant experience is valued.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children.
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate/CPR B is an asset.
  • Educational background in history and museum studies is an asset.
  • Prior experience working or volunteering in historic houses, museums, galleries or outdoor nature programs is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise campers at all times.
  • Provide a safe and enjoyable experience by adhering to safety standards and assisting with emergency procedures.
  • Support the objectives of museum camp programs through quality instruction and customer/staff relations.
  • Complete all administrative duties accurately and on time.
