Job summary

Thompson Construction Group is seeking a Camp Attendant for Fort McMurray, AB. Responsibilities include maintaining hygienic bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and laundry areas, reporting to the Head Camp Attendant, and rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key duties involve cleaning, laundry, bed-making, and stock control while adhering to safety policies. Ability to pass pre-employment checks and work in a team or independently is required.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in a housekeeping environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Current, valid First Aid certification is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in the Ft McMurray area and work a rotational schedule.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects weighing up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

  • General cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping and dusting
  • Making beds and changing sheets as per the schedule
  • Sanitizing washrooms including shower stalls, shower mats, sinks, toilets, and floor after each shift change
  • Proper cleaning and sanitation of rooms and public bathrooms
  • Changing sheets as per the schedule
  • Washing laundry machines in and out as required
  • General cleaning maintaining and stocking carts
  • Filling out checkroom sheets
  • Snow removal
  • Report any damage, theft and abandoned articles to the Supervisor
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company safe work practices and standard operating procedures

Camp Attendant

Thompson Construction Groupis currently looking to fill a position for a Camp Attendant for their operations area in the Fort McMurray, AB area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall hygienic conditions of the bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways and laundry rooms. Reporting to the Head Camp Attendant, the successful candidate will work a rotational basis, which may include days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
