Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, a leading Calgary-based full‑service law firm, is seeking a highly motivated Corporate/Commercial Litigation Associate to join the litigation group in Calgary. The ideal candidate will be called to the bar in Canada between 2022 and 2024 and will have 2–4 years of corporate/commercial litigation experience, with strong negotiation and client service skills.

Qualifications

A license and be in good standing to practice law in a Canadian jurisdiction.
2 to 4 years of related experience from a reputable national or top-tier boutique litigation firm.
Demonstrated experience in corporate/commercial litigation.
The ability to analyze and communicate complex legal issues in a practical, client-focused manner.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively and strategically in settlement discussions and other dispute resolution contexts.
Exceptional client service, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Work with experienced litigators on sophisticated corporate and commercial disputes while developing judgment, skills, and client relationships in a collaborative team environment.
