Job summary

IGA in Drayton Valley is seeking a part-time Cake Decorator to craft cakes and pastries with care, while ensuring exceptional customer service. You will decorate, package and take orders, keeping a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety standards.

Experience is welcome but training is available. This role involves weekend shifts, physical tasks, and teamwork within a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• Creativity and artistic flair required for cake decorating.
• Ability to work quick and independently.
• Be open to change and new ideas.
• Available for a variety of shifts including weekends.
• Ability to lift, walk and stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Decorating cakes, cream work and pastry work.
• Packaging bread and buns as needed.
• Collecting supplies from the cooler and freezer.
• Taking cake orders.
• Adherence to all Food Safety Protocols, OH&S procedures, store policies, other programs and initiatives.
• Assist and answer customer questions and concerns, while providing them with a positive shopping experience.
• Keep work area clean and presentable.
• Handle, organize and rotate product in accordance with store policy.
• Other duties as required.
